Dial-up -> DSL -> Cable -> Fiber (FIOS) Cable is always going to be worse than Fiber as far as Internet, and DSL worse than cable, and dial-up worse than DSL. AT&T would be your best bet since AT&T uses Fiber which is better than Cable which Xfinity uses. You’ll experience less outages and less price hikes with AT&T compared to Xfinity.
